A Beer at the Beach

A beer at the beach:
Will it be Speakers Corner
Or Deep Creek Brewing?

Written by Rupert.

References: Our correspondent from the little town of Browns Bay, New Zealand sends word of two major developments in the availability of good beer in that town in the last couple years. One is the opening of Deep Creek Brewing at the north end of Beachfront Lane, where he recommends you try the 309. In addition, the Speakers Corner, their established English pub at the south end of Beachfront Lane, is now carrying beers from Galbraiths on hand pump. Sounds like a great place to be. Cheers!

Puhoi Pub

Stream and tide combine
Carry me gently seawards
From the Puhoi Pub

Written by Rupert Morrish.

References: Puhoi Pub & Paddle: Ideal timing is to paddle up from Wenderholm on the incoming tide, spend two or three hours in the historic pub, then float back down again on the outgoing tide. Takes about an hour and a half up and an hour down. (Puhoi)
