References: Our correspondent from the little town of Browns Bay, New Zealand sends word of two major developments in the availability of good beer in that town in the last couple years. One is the opening of Deep Creek Brewing at the north end of Beachfront Lane, where he recommends you try the 309. In addition, the Speakers Corner, their established English pub at the south end of Beachfront Lane, is now carrying beers from Galbraiths on hand pump. Sounds like a great place to be. Cheers!

References: Check out Haunted Bar Guide. It’s a quirky new website dedicated to helping you find beer, wine and spirits. Spread the word, and don’t forget to share your stories of ghostly encounters at bars, taverns, pubs, restaurants and pretty much anywhere a person can be served an alcoholic beverage. Don’t have your own story? Then share your friends’, neighbors’, and crazy uncles’ stories. No one should ever have to drink alone…

References: After updating this site every single day for 5 years, I’ve decided to take a break. I hope you’ve enjoyed our little run. Feel free to browse the archives, there are more than 1825 haiku to peruse. Make sure you rate your favorites. I am thinking about compiling a collection of the best new and classic beer haiku into a book. If you are interested in such a thing, please sign up to be notified.
Beer Haiku is not dead. I am just taking a break from the “Daily” part. I will continue to accept and publish submissions from beer poets everywhere. Hell, I’ll might even start taking limericks, sonnets, and songs too. What do you want to see? What do you want to submit?
Cheers!
