Attention all Beer Bloggers! This is your reminder that The Session #8 is one week away. The theme is Beer and Food. I want to make sure you have the whole weekend and a full week to experiment with recipes or come up with other ideas for your posts.
I believe this will be a popular Session and there are some distinct opportunities to get some of the Foodie bloggers involved and/or exposed to the vast possibilities of pairing food and beer and cooking with beer. I know I am very excited to see what our multi-talented group of writers, drinkers, and brewers comes up with.
Additional Information:
It’s Drink a Beer Day?!
I don’t know who made it so…
But I’ll celebrate!
Written by Captain Hops.
References: According to at least two websites, September 28 is “Drink a Beer Day”. If anyone has any additional information about who proclaimed this a holiday, please leave me a note in the comments. I am all for wacky holidays and I intend to celebrate in the best way I know how, but I have two problems with this day: “a” and “day”. I really think Beer deserves more than just one day and I don’t plan on stopping with a single beer.

I will be attending the toast at the Brewer’s Art located at 1106 North Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. They are generously donating 20% of the gross proceeds for the night to the National Parkinson Foundation. I hope to see you there.

Thing of the Day: Here’s something you don’t see everyday: Dog Beer - Non-Alcoholic Doggie Brew Wet Snout Stout. Beer for Dogs?! Actually, it appears that this is some sort of liquid multivitamin for dogs. I don’t have a dog, but if I did, I am not sure I would want him getting a taste for beer. It’s hard enough to keep the fridge stocked.
